The GBC Velobind System Three Pro is the top of line of GBC's strip binding machines. It provides electric punching and electric, automatic binding capabilities in on unit, yet is heavy duty enough to handle the needs of most moderate and many high-volume users. This is a unit where deadlines can successfully be met without the in-house plant or print-shop separate punch and bind units.Both prestigious soft cover and library-quality hardcover documents can be produced with this unit. It routinely punches up to 25 sheets of 20-lb bond per lift, and can simultaneously bind documents of 1" in just 8 seconds (over 1" = 18 seconds). The System Three Pro accommodates documents in varying thicknesses from 1 sheet to 3 inches (that's 750 sheets of 20-lb bond paper!) of material, up to 14" on the binding edge. Each document is perfectly aligned for a neat, professional appearance.The electric power punching saves time and labor, whether the punch is operated by punch button or automatic punch feature. The Velobind and SureBind System Three Pro contains two motors, one for punching and one for binding, which assures reliability even during crunch times. This feature allows the operator to punch one lift while, at the same time, binding a previously-punched document.
This ability to punch and bind simultaneously is valuable benefit where deadlines are critical.The Surebind hot-knife technology ensures a custom, secure bind every time by shearing off extra binding pin lengths and heat-sealing the strips. The Dual Blade System incorporated in this system contains one blade for heating and one for cooling to provide the tightest, most compressed bind of any combo system. The heating blade is consistently at the perfect temperature for shearing the pins and the cooling blade is at the perfect temperature for cooling and forming a high-quality rivet and tighter, more compressed bind. The adjustable bind speed offers the flexibility of reducing the bind speed when binding small books of 1" or les increasing bind productivity by up to 50%. The electric debind feature makes adding or deleting pages almost effortless.
